Sentences in Filipino with panghalip na paari usually have one of the two following sentence structures:
Panghalip na paari halimbawa: amin (ours)
Panghalip na paari halimbawa sa pangungusap:
There are two rules of thumb when it comes to panghalip na paari:
If there is a noun before or after the word showing ownership (ex., aming pusa or pusa namin) that word is no longer considered a panghalip na paari (possessive pronoun). Instead, it is considered a panuring. This is similar to the distinction, in English grammar, between a possessive pronoun and a possessive determiner.
