What is kayarian ng pang-uri?
“Yari” (the root word of kayarian) means structure, so “kayarian ng pang-uri” refers to the structure of the adjective. Just like the kayarian ng pangngalan, there are four kayarian ng pang-uri: payak, maylapi, inuulit, and tambalan.
Pang-uri ba ang masaya?
Yes. “Masaya” means happy, which is an adjective (pang-uri) because it is used to describe a noun or pronoun. However, it can also be used as an adverb; example: “Masayang nagtatrabaho si Maria” (Mary works happily).
Pang-uri ba ang marami?
Yes. “Marami” means many, which is an adjective (pang-uri) because it is used to describe the quantity of a noun or pronoun.
